Welcome to the Dissident Dispatch, Chuck Howell’s interview based podcast, where we question issues in culture, society, politics and health with alternative, outlier thinkers who are not afraid to speak truth to power.
In this Dispatch I speak about myself, my story, my awakening and why I created the Dissident Dispatch.
I touch on the roadmap for the Dissident Dispatch and the goal to interview dissident outlier thinkers, those unafraid to go against the official narrative.
I give a very brief history about where I come from, where I live now and my thoughts about how so many people today are hypnotized by the mainstream narrative.
I touch on how my personal awakening unfolded and how that ultimately led me to create the Dissident Dispatch.

Hello, everyone. Welcome to the very first Dissdent Dispatch. I'm going to call this Dispatch Zero.
I think the best way to start since this is the first episode, I should just tell you a little bit about myself. I'm an American, originally from Florida. I've lived for the last 18 years in Central America. This is where my home is now, though my family is still all up in the states. I have a wife and a young son, he's eight years now.
I live in a beautiful recently developed beach community. It's made up of many different people from different socio- economic classes, people from all over the world, expats from a multitude of different countries. Actually, there's less Americans here than any other nationalities. This allows me to get a really good perspective on what's going on in the rest of the world. By no means am I an authority, but it’s definitely interesting to listen to foreigners takes on what is going on around the planet, what their family members talk about and deal with back home.
The one unique, interesting thing that almost everyone has in common here where I live is no one in the community has cable TV, nobody watches MSNBC, or CNN or Fox or any of that bullshit. Everyone gets their news from online sources usually. So know one here is buying in to the divisive rhetoric and politics and everything else that's plaguing the Western world. Nobody has that constant bombardment of divisive information that's being jammed down their throat, whether it's to do with racism, politics, classism, you name it. That typical divide, division narrative that’s just used to divide and conquer all of our minds with misinformation. Nobody's worried about that here. It's quite refreshing.
2:11
My goal with creating the Dissident Dispatch is I would like to host interesting guests, people who aren't afraid to speak truth to power. I want to talk to those outlier, alternative thinkers who are not willing to push back against the official narrative, that official narrative that’s just being jammed down our throat, by the media and government and bureaucracies and all the nonprofit foundations, corporations and every other quote-unquote, authoritative organized entity that you can think of who just tows the official narrative and pushes all down on humanity, and refuses to give voice or listen to anyone else who is willing to question their authority.
I want to speak to people about alternative viewpoints on topics like culture, politics, history, health, society… amongst others. There's a lot to talk about out there. And there's room for one more outlet for Dissident Voices.
3:09
Since I'm not a professional podcaster or entertainer, and nor do I have a large following, a tribe so to speak to leverage to get guests, you are going to have to bare with me until I can attract a quality guest. Hopefully it will not be too long. But until then I am going to give you my opinion on things, issues I feel are important in this world. And often it is just going to be me ranting and complaining unfortunately. But it will let me blow off some steam and let potential guests know exactly how I feel about things.
When I left the states about 18 years ago, I felt as if society and culture there was changing. Or maybe it was just my perception of it due to age, but something seemed off to me that I could never put my finger on it. But it wasn't really that, that made me leave the United States. But at the time, I remember just feeling like it was time to get out of there.
I ended up becoming good friends with another expat surfer here. And he didn't live exactly in this beach where I am and where I live. He lived really far down the road about an hour and a half drive, way out in the middle of nowhere, totally off the grid. I would often go out there and stay out at his place and we would surf together. And one day I cruise out there and arrived at his house for a visit. It was always... I could never tell him I was coming. You couldn't call him or get a hold of them, you just have to show up and hope he's out there.
My buddy had a friend out there who was traveling through the area, who was staying with him for a few days. I'll never forget his name. He was from up in the Pacific Northwest somewhere he had and he owned a supplement company that produced super foods. Anyways, his name was Andron.
4:40
We're hanging out and he's breaking out all these different powders he produced and ate regularly. He had like blue green algae (Spirulina) and Moringa and a couple other things I can't remember now but it was basically all new to me at the time. I'd never really heard about that stuff, let alone that somebody who was consuming it. And this guy Andron, he was vegan, but he wasn't like some skinny, scrawny, pasty looking vegan guy. He was like really in shape like not an ounce of fat. He's all ripped up. Not like some big huge buff guy but built like an athlete. He was full of energy and information like he is really, he kind of talked a little bit too much but he was a really sharp guy.
We're hanging out there, he's (Andron) living off superfood powder concoctions and coconuts from our friends property. And I don't remember exactly what sparked Andron's comment to us. But at some point in the conversation, Andron gets like this serious look. And he says to me and my buddy, "you two want to change your life?" My buddy and I are like, "yeah, for sure." I'm thinking like what do you got? I'm thinking he's gonna break out some seriously strong new powder or something? Yell, give it give us the good shit Andron! I'm thinking. Andron, totally serious says, "You two need to watch two documentaries. You're at the stage in your life where these two documentaries are going to totally change your life. Get a piece of pen and paper and write these down." So my buddy says alright as he scrambles over to grab some paper and a pen and gets ready. And hes says, "this is what you need to watch, Zeitgeist and America Freedom to Fascism." And we're like, "where do we find them?" (Andron responded) "Just put them in YouTube, you'll find them."
Okay, cool. So my buddy and I, after we went home or whatnot, or I went home, he stayed at his place, obviously. But I heeded Andron's advice, and so did my friend. We watched the documentaries. I got back to my home and then drove another hour one day, and I actually I think I rented a hotel that had internet so I could watch these documentaries. Because back then where I was at, there wasn't internet, it was kind of tricky to find it. I watched these documentaries. Of course, they're old now. But I highly recommend you watch them, if you have not. Watch them with an open mind. They're very eye opening.
If you're a religious person, the beginning of Zeitgeist is probably gonna piss you off. You're probably not gonna be able to sit through it. Watch it with an open mind. For me who I was religious at the time, or thought I was, after watching that movie, it actually helped me see a bigger picture, and get closer to what I'd like to call spirituality and a way from religion. I feel like I'm a spiritual person, but definitely not a religious person.
7:19
Zeitgeist, though it's edited out of it now, back then there was a segment of Alex Jones, he basically predicted 911, and that Osama Bin Laden is going to be involved. This was in July, a couple of months before September 11. I remember seeing that part and thinking holy shit! Who is this guy? I'd never heard Alex Jones. I'd play what he said but I think just Alex's voice on this first podcast will probably get the dispatch censored on every platform. Because his voice is just toxic to the internet. They love to hate Alex Jones and censor anything with him on it. But I'll leave a link down at the bottom of the show notes so you can check it out. Say what you want about Alex Jones, because I know he's a hot topic right now. And he's not always right. But he has a track record 1000 times better than the legacy media. And the guy is always months or oftentimes years ahead of them on news stories. It's pretty impressive.
Anyways, so Zeitgeist hits a few interesting topics. The most powerful sections to me are about religion and 911. And if you watch Zeitgeist, and you're more interested in a deeper dive into 911, there's another old documentary that I stumbled on soon after Zeitgeist. It's called Loose Change.
America, Freedom to Fascism is a great opener into the scam that is the Federal Reserve System and the IRS. Not that I'm saying don't pay your taxes. No, no, no, no, that would be wrong. Please pay your taxes to Uncle Sam. But I consider that moment when I watched those two documentaries as the beginning of my personal awakening. My personal awakening to the lies and the misinformation, my awakening to the mass global wide psychological operation that's being perpetrated upon humanity by a combination of our governments, corporations and whoever the cabalistic conspiracy is that controls them.
You can call them Globalist, Deep State, New World Order, Illuminati Zionism. Whatever term one likes to use. I don't know what they are, or who they are, but maybe the quote-unquote, "they" are a combination of all these. Whatever you term you choose, it doesn't matter. But it's obvious to those of us who are awake, there is a shadowy conspiracy that is working against humanity. Personally, I prefer to call them globalist. Everything's about global climate change and global-this global-that.
At that moment, around 17 years ago, I was awakened and I've never been the same. Fortunately, back then, the internet was way less censored than it is today. I mean, it was hardly censored at all. You could find so much interesting information. And it led to me going down so many rabbit holes I can't even remember.
09:56
At the beginning, I went from like freaked out from the enormity of the corruption to just entertained at the absurdity of it all, and how so many people just can't see past the mainstream legacy news and the corporate and government sponsored narrative that were just force fed today. Now I just totally laugh in the face of those... I mean, I don't laugh in their face, (though) inside I do. I don't really like offending people, and being a pain in the ass, being an asshole. If someone is asleep, I just kind of try and nod and keep moving on. But inside, it's like, I'm just laughing at all these people who still are asleep and still throw around terms like conspiracy theory to anything that goes against the mainstream.
It's entertaining to watch how still asleep so many of the general population (the herd) are, they really are under mass hypnosis. But the good thing is way more people are awake today than not very long ago. And we really are living at this moment through the Great Awakening. It's coinciding with the quote-unquote, "great reset" that's trying to be pushed onto us. But the harder they push the reset, the awakening is happening. Topics before when I first started waking up, where one out of 20 people, you could talk to him about it. Now. It's like one out of every two or three. It's amazing, it's nice.
So after considering myself awake for a really long time, and just sitting on the sideline this whole time. But realizing how much I enjoy listening to others who are awake, people who able to clearly articulate the different facets of this global information war that's designed to basically manipulate society. I finally decided just to get involved, hence, the Dissident Dispatch.
11:26
Two things happened at about the same time, which really sparked my decision to act. One was a meme by Captain Seth Keshel. And I love memes. Personally, I think they're hilarious. If you don't know who Keshel is I highly recommend you find out. He's got a Substack (link below). If you care about election integrity in the United States, you should really follow this guy. He breaks down precinct by precinct or county by county, I guess, all the different issues with the elections now and how corrupt and crooked the whole damn system is.
The meme was of a child with a look of concern, with these beautiful blue eyes, this young boy and he's like looking up as if looking towards his parent or guardian. At the bottom of the image was written "one day, they will ask, why didn't you fight for my future?" I saw that, I looked at that and thought about it, what have I done other than just sit on the sidelines and just watched? I have a young son, he's about the same age as the boy in the picture, and I'm like man, other than being a good, I feel like I'm a good dad, but what would my son say in the future? “What did you do? Why didn't you fight for my future?”
Around about the same time another friend of mine sent me in an image of a tweet from Michael Ian Black. If you don't know Michael, Ian Black, he's an actor, comedian, and... I think he does some producing or something. I seriously doubt I would see eye to eye with Michael and black on very much, but the text of the tweet really caught my attention. What it said was, "that song we're not going to take it came out almost 40 years ago, but I feel like we have in fact continued to take it." The guys, right. Most people are just still taking it. A lot of people just aren't standing up. Nobody's doing anything. We're just bitching about things. I mean, I'm kind of bitching about things right now, too, I guess. But I feel like it was time that I do something. So I created the Dissident Dispatch.
I know it sounds kind of trivial. It's just two little simple things, two things that I read basically in the same day, but it really did spark my desire to do something. And I decided then in there to create a podcast. So I can have a place where I can host individuals with important messages that I feel people can gain some much needed knowledge from. Plus, it allows me to be on the front row on my own show and have a one on one with amazing people. Like I love listening to smart individuals who know more than me, and who can articulate ideas that I agree with much better than I.
Earlier I talked about how this community I live in, there's none of the divisiveness that's pushed down by the media that I see whenever I go back home to the United States. Granted 99% of the people that I run into in the US are just as friendly and nice as they can be. And I think that's the way it is almost everywhere in the world. But the media loves to push divisive rhetoric, it loves to get people riled up and angry. And even though it's a small, tiny percentage that gets riled up and angry. The media grabs the imagery of those people and amplifies it out to everyone.
14:25
Politics is just dividing everyone like crazy. So I don't want that world to trickle down here to where I am. So I'm just gonna do my part and see what I can do and see where it goes from here.
All right. Well, I appreciate it everyone. Thanks for listening. I appreciate you joining my journey to the three people that might hear this first episode. If you're interested in hearing more from me, just please subscribe to the "Dispatch" using your favorite podcast player, it's going to be listed on all of them. Like and leave a review.
You can keep up with the latest and even leave me a voicemail at dissidentdispatch.com. If you want to, give me a good message and I can put it on one of my podcasts. That'd be awesome.
I have a Substack feed called dissidentdispatch.substack.com. You can go in there and add to the conversation and leave comments and questions. I'm going to take all these dispatches and transcribe them and put them on there.
